Zorya-Mashproekt will present its proposals for the development of Ukraine’s flexible generation capacities.

On November 10-12, at the XVIII International Specialized Exhibition “Power Engineering for Industry” (Kyiv, International Exhibition Centre) the State Enterprise “Research & Production Complex of Gas Turbine Industry “Zorya”-“Mashproekt” will introduce its developments in the energy field and proposals for the construction of flexible generation facilities in Ukraine.

The Enterprise will present packaged power generating units with a unit capacity of 6, 16 and 25 MW for simple, co-generation and combined cycle power plants with a total output of up to 150 MW. The delivered units are characterized with a high operational readiness and are capable to be quickly installed, started up and to promptly reach the full load. The main equipment of the units is manufactured entirely in the territory of Ukraine.

Denys Gordiyenko, General Director of “Zorya”-“Mashproekt”, says:

“Zorya”-“Mashproekt” has all the necessary intellectual and manufacturing resources needed to participate in solving the problem of lack of flexible generation capacities in Ukraine. More than 500 units based on gas turbine engines of our production successfully operate at civil and industrial power facilities in many countries around the world. Efficient and environmentally friendly gas turbine power plants have a very short period of starting-up and reaching the rated power, the ability to start frequently and quickly, are easily automated and require a minimum of personnel. They are compact, constructed in a short time and require small investments.

It should be noted that the environmental performance of modern engines manufactured by SE “Zorya”-“Mashproekt” is at the level of European standards – emissions of nitrogen oxides and carbon oxides meet the standards of Directive 2010/75/EU on industrial emissions. Projects with the use of engines with such environmental performance have already been implemented in the territory of Ukraine, in particular, during the modernization of gas pumping units of Grebinkivs’ka compressor station of the Ukrainian GTS.

The world practice of using gas turbine power plants to compensate for daily changes in electrical loads shows that they are the most appropriate for use in power generating systems being remote from HPPs and PSPSs as flexing generating plants, in out-of-the-way places and at the borders of electrical energy export transmission.

We are inviting you to visit the SE “Zorya”-“Mashproekt”’s exposition at the International Specialized Exhibition “Power Engineering for Industry”: stand Е-7-1 in pavilion No.1 of the International Exhibition Centre (15, Brovarsky ave., Kyiv).
