In Blessed Memory of Viktor Romanov

Viktor Romanov, the legendary General Designer of Mashproekt Scientific and Production Enterprise, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018.

Mr. Romanov was a brilliant scientist, gifted designer, and the one of the world’s leading authorities on gas turbine building. He has been at the head of the best team of gas turbine plant developers for more than 30 years.

Mr. Romanov’s era was the period of extraordinary growth of gas turbine industry. Under his rule the team of designers has developed dozens of installations including gas turbine plants for hovercrafts and hydrofoil ships. At the same time the natural gas pumping units were designed and built. The projects developed those years were unique and did not have any analogues in the world. In memory of his co-workers he will remain as not only a good manager, brilliant designer who made courageous and creative solutions but also very shy, intellectual man who had respect to human dignity.

The tragic event has torn out the hearts of many workers and enterprise’s veterans. All our employees deeply bewail on Mr. Romanov death and offer condolences to his family and close friends.
