A New Monitoring System Has Been Implemented into Operation

A novel remote monitoring system has been developed by Automatic Monitoring System Department and employed for pilot and field testing at Grebenkovskaya compressor station.

Our enterprise has accumulated experience in the field of remote monitoring system designing since 2002. From that time our enterprise has tried to develop a system of engineering diagnostics which estimates a condition of operated engine.

Sergey Terletskiy, Konstantin Tsoy, and Dmitriy Isakov, the specialists of Department, have learnt and taken advantages of such experience for the development of a new system. Andrey Koryagin, who has being worked for Field Supervision Department, shared important information on the customers’ needs regarding the remote monitoring system.

So, the active phase of works started in April, 2018 when the system was engaged for experimental and industrial production at Ukrtransgaz facilities.

A pilot project has been applied on three natural gas pumping units at Grebenkovskaya compressor station.

Installation of Remote Monitoring System adds the value to the end-product but in comparison with the value of failed engine delivering the use of the system is lower in cost because it warns engine damages.

The Remote Monitoring System allows us to check the engines operation in Ukraine or abroad. The system can prevent damages. Engine life cycle, all its readouts reflect in the monitoring program and, in turn, the program promptly transmits the readouts to the Fast Response Center.

As such the idea to equip the engine with monitoring system is not new – the similar programs are being currently implemented by all manufacturers of gas turbines. On 28 February, 2019, upon test completion, the program will be installed on all engines manufactured by Zorya-Mashproekt SE.
