STATE ENTERPRISE “ZORYA”-“MASHPROEKT” IS BUILDING A NEW COMPRESSOR STATION IN YAGOTIN, WHICH WILL SATISFY THE GAS NEEDS OF THE WHOLE KYIV REGION
Today, on December 10, Oleksandr Zavitnevych, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Ihor Fomenko, SC “Ukroboronprom” Deputy General Director for Production, and Oleksiy Zhukovets, Director General of SE GTRPC “Zorya”-“Mashproekt”, got acquainted with the construction works at the station.
The reconstruction of “Yahotyn” compressor station is being carried out by “Zorya”-“Mashproekt” at the request of Ukrtransgaz JSC. The capacity of the new compressor station equipped with gas pumping units (3 working and 1 reserve) and a gas turbine engine will reach 50 million cub. m per day. The new workshop should be commissioned within a year.
“Six months ago, there was nothing on this site, but SE GTRPC “Zorya”-“Mashproekt” has showed the result: this company can produce not only ultra-sophisticated aggregates for ships, but also meet the civilian needs of the state, in particular, in gas transportation”, emphasized Oleksandr Zavitnevych, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
Oleksiy Zhukovets, Director General of SE GTRPC “Zorya”-“Mashproekt”, in turn, noted that the reconstruction of “Yahotyn” compressor station had been blocked for 2 years, but within six months, the company together with private companies – “Nasosenergomash” Pump & Power Engineering Works Sumy Public JSC and DB “Teploenergoavtomatika” – built three of the four gas pumping units.
“This is a unique experience for “Zorya”-“Mashproekt”. That has never been our business, as we are manufacturers of turbines for military and civilian use, but it so has happened, we are currently involved in the construction of a new compressor station. We will continue to use this unique experience that we are gaining now to increase our presence in this market in the interests of the state and its security”, stated Oleksiy Zhukovets.
“One of the directions of Ukroboronprom development is not only meeting the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is a priority, but also the implementation of civilian projects. The latter, in particular, allows diversifying the business of enterprises being a part of the Concern. And we can see how actively “Zorya”-“Mashproekt”, which produces gas turbine engines not only for the Navy of Ukraine, but also of other countries, develops gas pumping activities. Now the construction is proceeding on schedule. We hope that this experience will be in demand in the Ukrainian market and “Zorya”-“Mashproekt” will continue to build similar and maybe more technological stations”, summed up Igor Fomenko, SC “Ukroboronprom” Deputy General Director for Production.
