Since 2005, the cogeneration power station has been operating at Mozyr oil refinery (the Republic of Belarus), which was constructed on the basis of gas turbine engine of our make. The fuel used for the said power station is so-called \u00abdry gas\u00bb, whose composition includes 26% of hydrogen.<\/p>\n<p>At present, the department of General Designer is working at creating the test stand for combustion chambers that will burn gas-hydrogen mixture and hydrogen fuel. It is expected that R&amp;D works will be completed within the period of 4 years, and the year of 2025 will mark the beginning of hydrogen engines series production.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, we are busy with developing the Business Plan for the would-be investors\u00bb, \u2013 said Mr. Yu. Deriy.<\/p>\n<p>The perspectives for hydrogen economics development is the subject of discussions held at all global energy platforms. From the theoretical point of view, hydrogen can replace all other types of fuel, which mankind burns at present for energy generation. The available techniques allow hydrogen production without \u0421\u041e2 emission, using water and electric power only. And there is another important feature \u2013 the electric power can be conserved longer in the form of hydrogen than in energy storage devices.
