Zorya – Mashproekt Supplies Engines for Ukrainian Gas Turbine Station
Zorya – Mashproekt State Enterprise has manufactured and supplied three DG90L2.1 engines, each with the power of 16MW, to Ukrtransgas Public Joint-stock Company.
The delivered gas turbine engines will be used for gas compressor units upgrading at Grebenkovskaya compressor station (Poltava region of Ukraine).
Within the scope of gas transportation system upgrading the engines of the second generation (DG59) will be replaced by the modern ones with the higher efficiency that will significantly reduce fuel consumption during their operation. The DG90 is the serial unit. 340 engines have been manufactured, shipped to the customers and successfully operated since the time of unit development.
The Grebenkovskaya’s engines are the first ones which have been upgraded in order to meet the EU’s environmental requirements regarding nitrogen oxides emission. The upgraded engines have passed the tests and all main data have been proved.
Under program of the gas compressor plant upgrading the modern digital control and fuel supply systems will be delivered to the Grebenkovskaya station. All operations on the engines replacement will be performed by Zorya-Mashproekt’s specialists.
In total, Zorya-Mashproekt’s 94 gas turbine engines rated 6, 10, 16, and 25 MW are on duty for the gas transportation system of Ukraine. This accounts for about 20% of the gas compressor unit park with the gas turbine drive. In 2014, the experts of the enterprise developed and proposed a program of Ukrainian compressor stations upgrading which allows us to improve economic and environmental performance of the gas compressor unit with the gas turbine mechanical drive.
